Bio:

When yoga was first introduced to me I was super amazed by the fact that a human body can twist and turn into pretzel-like poses, seriously!! Who knew the human body could bend like that? I was never interested in the practice itself at first but I wanted to get my body to do amazing poses. When I had my first yoga class at the Africa yoga project, truth is it was not easy for me as I had imagined but I managed to the end of the 2 hour session. I never thought it would be an intense practice that made one sweat like crazy but after the class my body felt lighter and it felt really good. Waking up with achy muscles, I still wanted more and my visit at the studio became regular. I was instantly inspired by the positive energy brought through the practice of yoga as well as the connection it generated between both body and mind. That is how my interest in yoga grew. I completed my 200 hour teacher training through the Africa yoga project and recently completed the year one assisting program in the Academy. Through this journey I got the confidence to speak up when in a group of many people and also developed leadership skills and also a personal practice and a bit of meditation. I believe that yoga does not have a certain age group neither does it have a specific gender, yoga is for every one and anyone. At the moment I teach both kids and adults and I’m really passionate about it. I strive to make my classes enjoyable by dancing to some times at the end of a session or engaging myself in any activity the students choose. I give back to the community by teaching free yoga sessions back at home. Off the mat you can find me swimming, watching movies and sports, taking dance classes and practicing yoga as well.
